Chapter 360 The Worst thing that could ever happen

Sophie heard the faint ding from her cell phone and ignored it, snuggling into her pillow and falling back to sleep. She might have stayed that way all warm and comfortable had she not heard the loud whoop of joy coming from down the hall.

"Wha?" she mumbled, tossing her long honey-colored hair out of her face, but she was too tired to care. She plopped her head back down on the pillow and pulled the covers over her head.

"Simon!" Ronnie shouted. "Did you just get a text from Mom?"

"And Grandma," Simon said, grinning from ear to ear.

"Can you believe it?" said Ronnie. "Finally, Dad's getting married!"

"It's the best thing ever!"  Simon said. "I'm so happy I couldI could hug you!"

Chapter 359 Congratulations are in Order

The kiss hadn't even ended before the phone in Victor's pocket rang. Wise man that he normally wasand being so long since wanting this particular moment to actually happen and desperate to savor every minute of ithe ignored the phone. He pulled Violet even closer deepening the kiss, but the phone kept ringing as did the landline Violet still insisted on having and simultaneously the cell phone in her purse.

"What the heck is going on?" Violet asked, reluctantly releasing Victor's arms to answer one of the phones. "Hello?" she said giving Victor an apologetic look while reaching for her purse, rummaging for her chiming cell phone.

"I hear congratulations are in order, Missy!" Morris Kramer's booming voice spoke in her ear.

"Umwhathow in the world do you know that?" she said, glancing out the window assuming he was just outside looking in.

Chapter 358 The Big Surprise

Rationally speaking, Violet should not have felt so self-conscience undressing in front of a spirit. That is to say the ghost of Victor's mother was most likely a figment of her imagination and therefore not really there so nothing to worry about, right? And yet she still was. Lucky for her, Heidi must have realized this and discretely averted her eyes from Violet's naked form before she striped and jumped into the shower, all the while explaining the difference between being truly earthbound and not.

"You see, Violet," Heidi spoke louder than usual to be heard over the shower. "I already went up to heaven as soon as I died and I was gloriously received by our dear Lord and Savior."

"Then how come you're still here?" Violet said, her words garbled due to the water splashing into her mouth.

"I was needed down here, so I returned," Heidi replied.

"What are you saying?" Violet said. "That Heaven is a revolving door for spirits?"

Chapter 357 Time to Wake up

Sleepy Calisto

"Come, Dear. It's time to wake up."

Violet made a tiny sound, like the coo of a dove, but remained quite asleep.

"This is going to be a very big day for you, Luv. Please get up."

"No wanna," mumbled Violet. All toasty warm, she snuggled further into her pillow and sighed. She was way too comfortable to leave her bed and short of an earthquake, tornado or other so-called act of God she was going nowhere.

It was the soft laugh that made Violet frown in confusion as sleep slowly drifted away. "Mom?" she said, her eyes trying to flutter open.

"Not exactly, but I always thought of you as the daughter I never had or rather, had for very long anyway."
